About ME
I am a solo artist who began her journey by decorating rocks (see my story) and hiding them for folks to find and enjoy or re-hide for others to discover!
the beginning of the C19 Pandemic brought much uncertainty and confusion. a couple weeks off to "slow the Spread" turned into an unbelievable stretch of time that brought exponentially more uncertainty and confusion.

my career as a registered Diagnostic Medical sonograher had long since been abandoned and i was employed, at the outset of Covid, transporting elderly folks from a local nursing home to and from their doctor appointments. the need for that dwindled as zoom appointments became safer for the residents of the retirement facility.

here i am, unemployed.
I had always enjoyed drawing and painting so decided to pick some flat river rocks out of our patio and start drawing and coloring on them. I gave them to friends, grandsons and hid them in my neck of the woods for others to find. I put most of them in a local playground for kids to discover since they found themselves stuck at home as slowing-the -spread turned into something far more than they bargained for.
My Story
I have created this page to share my art with you! This form of art is (obviously) created by placing on substrate, by hand, varying sizes of dots to create a beautiful design. Often times the pieces are round (mandala geometric configurations) but they can come in any size or shape!

My art journey began as a Covid craft. Some folks in my hometown of Manheim, PA were painting cute designs on river rocks and hiding them for kids and adults to find as they took walks. They could Keep the stone, or re-hide it to keep the fun of discovery going! I decided to do the same on my street and surroundings just a bit north of Manheim. One thing led to another and I discovered dot art while searching for inspiration for my rocks.

Painting has become a relaxing way to focus on something other than the crazy merry-go-round of life! I always listen to stories, self-help or podcasts on Audible while I work. It's a great way to unwind.
